The Camco Rhino Tote Tanks are the durable, everything-you-need tote tank kit to fill, empty, clean, store and tow your tote tank when you’re too far away from a dump station to use a sewer hose. This tote tank is rugged, heavy-duty, and designed with the ease of use in mind. Everything from the interior, to the exterior, to the accessories included make a dirty job as simple and straightforward as possible.

I’ve never been a fan of portable holding tanks. They seem to be flimsy and the wheel hoops are always sticking out around your feet. The Camco Rhino Portable Holding Tank is different. This tank has a sturdy frame with two wheels on the bottom and one up front (depending on model size.) It has a large opening for adding waste, but I did find it a little difficult to get all of the waste in because of the high walls—the intake port is about 13″ above level ground). It also has an easy close system that keeps odors inside and prevents spills, which is great for those who have a hard time with this.

The Rhino is quite different from other portable tanks on the market because it’s built with heavy duty construction and has an integrated water hose inlet well. This makes for no more tripping hazards or awkward holders of hoses while you are messing around under your RV trying to fill up at the pump. It also made carrying this unit by both hand and shoulder much easier than I imagined possible.

It comes in four sizes: 15, 21, 28, 36 Gallon

The Rhino Tote Tank is perfect for anyone who needs to move large amounts of liquid. The tank is zinc-plated to prevent rust and corrosion, and the bearings on the wheels are stainless steel. The wheels are large and no-flat, making it easier to transport the tank even when the ground is uneven. And the handle is oversized and durable, allowing you to tow or pull the tank without worrying about it breaking.

The Rhino Tote Tank is easy to find with its distinctive gray and orange color. Plus, the included high-quality accessory kit has everything you need to fill and empty the tank, including a side gate dump valve.

Unfortunately, many RVs have a ground clearance of less than 13 inches, which is the minimum height required for the Rhino heavy-duty tote tank. This can cause problems when trying to use the tank as it will not sit flush against the RV and could lead to waste water spilling out when disconnected.

The top of the tote tank has two separate water inlets: one is an integrated tank rinser that can be used with a grey water hose. It has an easy grip connector, backflow preventer and multi-directional spray that helps clean away debris from the sidewalls of the interior of the tote tank. This makes it easier to keep your totes clean and free of build-up.its

  • The handle is oversized and durable, allowing you to tow or pull the tank without worrying about it breaking.

  • The integrated ladder hook allows for easy access to the waste disposal system inside the tank.
  • The included high-quality accessory kit includes everything you need to fill and empty the tank, including a side gate dump valve.
  • Clearance is an issue with RVs that sit lower to the ground and have a sewage waste pipe outlet less than the minimum 13 inches of ground clearance that the Rhino heavy-duty tote tank requires.
  • The Camco Rhino portable tank can be used with less clearance between the ground and the RV sewer outlet, but will have a problem with retaining waste water when you have filled it.
  • This can lead to a messy situation as you disconnect the hose between the RV and the Rhino.

The Design

  • The design of the tote tank is smooth and sloped so that it doesn’t trap odors or debris.
  • The large, no-flat wheels have bearings to make them sturdier and have a large circumference to make going over rough terrain easier.
  • The bottom of the tote tank features an integrated ladder hook and tie-down grooves, allowing you to hang the tank on your RV’s ladder when it is empty.
  • The top of the tote tank features two separate water inlets: one is an integrated tank rinser that can be used with a gray water hose. It has an easy grip connector, backflow preventer and multi-directional spray that helps clean away debris from the sidewalls of the interior of the tote tank.

Using Your Rhino Tote Tank

  • To dump your RV or trailer’s waste tank, you will need the clear double bayonet elbow and the 3-foot super heavy-duty sewer hose with bayonet and lug fittings.
  • The clear elbow with double bayonet ends securely attaches to the waste inlet on the tote tank and allows you to see when your tanks are empty.
  • The bayonet end of the sewer hose securely connects to your RV or trailer’s waste valve and has a gasket to ensure a secure seal.
  • The lug end of the sewer hose connects to one of the bayonet ends of the elbow. All bayonet and lug ends on the sewer hose and elbows swivel for easy use.
  • Before filling the tote tank, attach the steel tow adapter, as it can be difficult to put in place after the tank is full.
  • Take care to not overfill the tote tank.
  • If the tote tank is too heavy to transport manually when full, included is a removable steel tow adapter.
  • Rhino Tote Tank is durable and can hold a lot of weight.
  • The Rhino Tote Tank is easy to clean and has a mesh lining for ventilation.
